An explosion occurred on the runway of Miyazaki Airport in Japan for reasons yet unknown. A crater with a diameter of 7 meters and a depth of 1 meter formed on the runway, and all flights were suspended. Authorities sent a bomb disposal team to the airport due to the possibility of unexploded military ordnance from the World War II era being found on the runway.

The Miyazaki Airport, located in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, was the scene of a frightening incident. According to local authorities, an explosion was reported around 08:00 local time in the section of the taxiway between the runway and the apron.

FLIGHTS SUSPENDED AS A PRECAUTION

While a large number of police and fire teams were dispatched to the scene, investigations revealed that a crater with a diameter of 7 meters and a depth of 1 meter had formed. There were no fatalities or injuries in the incident, but all flights were suspended as a precaution. A detailed investigation into the incident has been initiated.
