A baby girl's body, with the umbilical cord uncut, was found among the rocks on the beach in the Konak district of Izmir. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.

The incident occurred on March 26 at around 10:30 AM, in front of the Izmir Port Authority. Marine police conducting training in the bay discovered a baby girl with an uncut umbilical cord among the rocks.

An INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE INCIDENT

Health teams who arrived after the notification determined that the baby had passed away. After the prosecutor's examination, the lifeless body of the baby was taken to the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
