A reporter in New Zealand being attacked by a seagull during a live broadcast has garnered widespread attention on social media. 32-year-old Jessica Tyson was speaking in front of the cameras in Auckland's business district when a seagull hit her in the face. Realizing she was bleeding after the cameraman's warning, Tyson shared this unfortunate moment on Instagram.

An incident involving a reporter presenting news in New Zealand has become a hot topic on social media.

32-year-old Jessica Tyson was speaking to the camera in Auckland's business district when a seagull suddenly flew towards her and hit her in the face. Stunned by the impact, the reporter exclaimed, "Damn it!" and brought her hands to her face.

At that moment, the cameraman noticed the wound that had opened just above Tyson's eye and warned her, saying, "You're bleeding!"

Jessica later shared this unfortunate moment on Instagram. Showing the deep cut above her eyebrow, the reporter humorously noted, "You're trying to do your job, but nature has other plans."

Former Miss World New Zealand, Jessica quipped, "This is what dedication to work looks like! This bird really needs to see an optometrist!"

The video quickly went viral. Within hours, the footage garnered over 200,000 views, along with thousands of likes and comments.

Singer Stan Walker, who is also Jessica's brother-in-law, commented, "Oh no! This can't be happening!"

Alex Keepence from the Miss World Australia team asked, "Is it wrong to laugh or is it too soon?" to which Jessica replied, "You can laugh! I was in stitches just 10 minutes after the incident!"

Jessica also responded to numerous curious messages, saying, "I'm fine, just a small mark left above my eye."

As the incident spread on social media, it reminded many of Australian journalist Ursula Heger, who was attacked by a bird during a live broadcast last year. Heger had been trying to report on a serious news story when a bird first landed on her head, then repeatedly hit her and tangled her hair.

Although Ursula tried to continue the broadcast, she eventually burst into laughter; the cameraman couldn't hold back either, saying, "This is the funniest thing I've ever seen."

Jessica Tyson's video has already created a similar effect, making viewers laugh and becoming one of social media's new favorite moments.
