On the News.com YouTube channel, AK Party Gaziantep Deputy and Turkey-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Ali Şahin, who was a guest of News Director Olgun Kızıltepe, comprehensively evaluated the US-Israel and Iran War. Şahin stated that the ceasefire on the US-Iran line could be seen as the first step towards peace, but the process is quite fragile, and he assessed, “The winning side of the war is Iran, and the losing side is Israel.”
"THE WINNER OF THE WAR IS IRAN, THE LOSER IS ISRAEL"
Evaluating the winning and losing sides of the war, Ali Şahin said, "Even though it may not have won, a war that it has not lost is a victory for Iran. Although it has not been defeated, a war that it could not win is a loss for the US. The Iran war showed that Israel is vulnerable. It demonstrated that the Iron Dome could be pierced. In this sense, Israel is, in my opinion, the losing side in terms of showing that this war can make a country vulnerable and a state."
"GLOBALLY WINNING COUNTRIES: CHINA, RUSSIA, AND TURKEY"
Emphasizing that the war should be evaluated not only in the context of the US-Israel-Iran axis but also in the context of global hegemony struggles, Şahin stated that the globally winning countries in the war are China, Russia, and Turkey, and he used the following expressions:
"When we move to the winning side, in the global perception, Iran is, in my opinion, the winning side of the war with the resistance it has shown against both Israel and the US in 41 days, both in the Gulf and globally. Because what was expected? The regime would change, but the regime did not change. The regime was supposed to confront. No, it did not confront.
From Latin America to Europe, from Africa to the Middle East and the Pacific, China has defeated the US with some covert support it has given to Iran. It has prevented Iran from achieving a gain and continues its commercial hegemony both in the Middle East and in other markets. In this respect, China is the winning side in the commercial hegemony war against the US without firing a single bullet or pulling the trigger.
Russia is also on the winning side. Because the US had turned Ukraine into an Afghanistan for Russia in Europe. What did Russia do? Russia made Iran a Ukraine of the Middle East for the US, rendering it unable to achieve a result. It kept the US occupied there. You know, due to the Ukraine War, the US had banned energy purchases from Russia for many countries. Due to the Gulf crisis, due to the Hormuz crisis, the US lifted the energy blockade it had imposed on Russia. Nobody could have imagined this 15 days ago. From this perspective, Russia is again one of the winners of this war.
I believe Turkey is another winning side because it has been an important actor in this ceasefire process with its diplomatic contacts, despite all the wars that have been going on for so long and despite the four missiles that fell on our lands, it has not become a part of this war and continues to maintain its stability as an island of stability in the region, making Turkey one of the important winners of this war."
"PAKISTAN IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE WINNING SIDES"
In response to Olgun Kızıltepe's question, "Can we include Pakistan among the winning countries due to its mediation?" Şahin answered, "Pakistan is definitely one of the winning sides in terms of becoming a global mediating actor in international perception. In the upcoming process, we will see a new security mechanism and architecture being built by Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt," he said.
