Providing information about the blood donation campaign, Samsunspor Club Association Board Member Sedat Uygun stated, "When our team traveling to Malatya on January 20, 1989, had an accident, the players from Çarşambaspor who were also traveling to the away game provided first aid to our injured. At that time, the Red Crescent intervened and a large amount of blood was collected from the public. Today, we are together for the Turkish Red Crescent's 'Does This Blood Forget You?' event. Our fans will continue to donate blood for 4 days. As a memory of this, fans who donate blood will receive a ticket for the Kocaelispor match to be played at home and a licensed Samsunspor jersey. I express our gratitude to the Turkish Red Crescent, which supports us in every event," he said.
