TFF Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz made statements regarding the agenda following the draw for the Ziraat Turkey Cup. Mecnun Otyakmaz mentioned a striking innovation regarding the VAR discussions that have been frequently talked about in recent days.

"LET THEM COME TO VAR, LET'S WATCH TOGETHER"

Stating that it is not possible to share VAR footage with the public, Otyakmaz invited all club managers in the Super League to the federation. In his statement, Otyakmaz said, "We cannot share VAR footage with the outside. Let them come and watch together. In the upcoming period, one manager from each of the two teams should come and sit in the technical section of the VAR room. Let them come and sit in the VAR room and watch together. Let them see what is happening. I have been a club president. Could such a thing be possible! Can we be negligent in a matter that concerns so many people? Please trust us. We cannot share any footage with the outside. We cannot ignore Beşiktaş's letter either; we will respond appropriately. Whoever wants to see can come; our door is open to all managers. Two clubs should agree and watch together with VAR. We allow this. There is nothing contrary to the VAR protocol here." he said.

NEW FORMAT PROPOSAL FOR THE TURKEY CUP

Otyakmaz, who stated that there is a proposal for a change in the format of the Ziraat Turkey Cup, said, "I was also troubled by this when I was a club president. A single elimination match, let's go through one by one. To prevent the semi-finals from being a done deal, it should be two-stage. There should be no surprise events there. This is also the decision of the Clubs Union for the next season."
