In a chain traffic accident involving a passenger bus, a dump truck, and two cars on the Sakarya section of the TEM Highway, one person lost their life and 27 people were injured, three of them seriously.
A chain traffic accident occurred on the TEM Highway's Sakarya passage in the Uzunkum area, heading towards Ankara in the Sapanca district.
1 DEAD, 27 INJURED, 3 SERIOUS
In the accident involving a passenger bus, a dump truck, and 2 cars, 1 person lost their life. A total of 27 people were injured, 3 of whom are reported to be children, with 3 in serious condition.
Upon notification, a large number of health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured, who received initial treatment at the scene, were taken to nearby hospitals.
ANKARA DIRECTION CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
Due to the accident, the Ankara direction of the highway has been closed to traffic, while teams continue their work to remove vehicles and clear the road. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
