On July 14th, in the evening hours in Aydınlar Neighborhood of Çekmeköy, a 10-year-old boy named Eymen Budak, whose parents are separated, was staying with his father for two weeks. Budak went out to play in the park located in the garden of the apartment. After a while, the iron garden gate of the apartment fell on Eymen Budak. Those who noticed the incident immediately notified the health teams. While the neighbors were trying to pull the child out from under the iron gate, the health teams arrived at the scene. The teams took Eymen Budak to Sancaktepe Şehit Dr. İlhan Varank Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. However, despite all interventions, Budak lost his life. The child's body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution.
'HE HAD A BLOW TO THE HEAD, HE PASSED AWAY'
After the procedures, Eymen's grandfather's brother, Mehmet Budak, who came to collect the body, said, "The incident occurred around seven in the evening. The child was playing in the park, then he played with the gate. Then the gate fell on him. According to what the doctor told me, he passed away there while falling. He had a blow to the head and passed away. As we were told, a friend upstairs was looking down from above; he was playing in the park. I saw the gate fall, and by the time I got downstairs, a neighbor had taken him away." It was observed that the gate, which the neighbors claimed had been broken for a long time, was removed from its place and tied with plastic ropes for use after the incident.
