Two individuals who were detained in the investigation regarding the alleged abduction of İnan Kıraç have been referred to the courthouse. In their statements, the suspects reportedly said, "He told us he didn't want to stay in the hospital. We left together. When he said, 'Step on it, let's get out of the city,' we moved. Upon hearing the allegations on the way, we returned home." The two suspects were released under judicial control.
The founder of Koç Group, Vehbi Koç's son-in-law, 88-year-old businessman İnan Kıraç, has been reported to have allegedly escaped from the hospital where he was being treated under state supervision. A new development has occurred in the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding this claim.
"HE TOLD US 'LET'S GO OUT OF TOWN'"
Barış C., the driver of businessman İnan Kıraç, and his companions Kamil İ. and Ali Ş., who were detained in connection with the allegation that Kıraç was taken from the hospital of his own accord, were referred to the courthouse after their procedures were completed on charges of "deprivation of liberty" and "kidnapping." The suspects, who stated that they did not kidnap İnan Kıraç, reportedly said, "He told us he didn't want to stay in the hospital. We left together. When he said, 'Step on it, let's go out of town,' we moved. Upon hearing the allegations on the way, we returned home."
2 SUSPECTS RELEASED
The two suspects referred to the courthouse were released under judicial control conditions.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
On the evening of May 22 in Istanbul, allegations emerged that İnan Kıraç had been kidnapped. The hospital where he was being treated stated that the allegations were not true. The hospital's statement included the following remarks:
"Mr. İnan Kıraç was admitted to our hospital for a general check-up examination at the request of his guardians on May 21, 2025. On May 22, 2025, after all tests and examinations were completed, Mr. Kıraç left the hospital with his assistant and driver without the permission of his guardians while they were present at the hospital, before the discharge procedures were completed. The allegations that Mr. Kıraç was kidnapped from the hospital by unidentified individuals are unfounded, and we present this information to the public."
