Despite changes in the lead role, time jumps, and shifts in the broadcast day, the series "Leyla: Life... Love... Justice..." has not garnered the expected interest from viewers, leading to a decision for its finale. The production, which began airing on September 11, 2024, will bid farewell to the screen with its 40th episode. The departure of lead actor Alperen Duymaz and the addition of Selçuk Yöntem to the cast, along with a one-year leap in the storyline, could not stop the decline in ratings.
In September of last year, the series "Leyla: Life… Love… Justice…" which started airing on NOW screens, has been decided to end. Initially meeting the audience on Wednesday evenings, the series was recently moved to Sundays. However, the change in the broadcast day did not provide the expected contribution to the ratings performance.
The departure of the lead actor Alperen Duymaz from the project was a significant turning point for the audience. After the character's farewell in the script, an experienced name like Selçuk Yöntem was added to the cast. Although this move aimed to regain viewer interest, the results did not meet expectations.
A serious transformation was also made on the script side, jumping one year ahead, with new characters and developments added to the story. However, despite all these innovations, the desired viewing rates were not achieved on Sunday evenings. According to Birsen Altuntaş's report, the "Leyla" series will bid farewell to the screens with its 40th episode.
