The indictment prepared regarding the "Aziz İhsan Aktaş Profit-Oriented Criminal Organization" investigation has been accepted by the Istanbul 1st High Criminal Court for 200 suspects, 40 of whom are detained. In the case, mayors who have been suspended from their duties, including Rıza Akpolat, Utku Caner Çaykara, Ahmet Özer, Zeydan Karalar, Abdurrahman Tutdere, Oya Tekin, and Kadir Ayda, will also be prosecuted.

INDICTMENT ACCEPTED



The indictment requests a total of up to 704 years in prison for Aziz İhsan Aktaş for 9 different crimes, while up to 415 years for the suspended Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat, up to 18 years for Avcılar Mayor Utku Caner Çaykara, and up to 9 years for Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer. Additionally, up to 12 years in prison is requested for the suspended suspects Adana Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar, Adıyaman Metropolitan Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin, and Ceyhan Mayor Kadir Ayda.



The indictment was accepted by the Istanbul 1st Heavy Criminal Court. The date of the first hearing related to the case will be announced in the coming days.



100 MILLION LIRA BRIBE



The indictment claims that Aktaş distributed bribes amounting to 100 million lira in the Beşiktaş Municipality. In the statements of secret witnesses named Yaprak and XYZ49QP, it was alleged that suspect Aktaş participated in tenders through companies he established via his relatives, and that he was in contact with municipalities such as Beşiktaş, Avcılar, Esenyurt, as well as institutions like İGDAŞ, İETT, and İSFALT, and that many tenders were organized as "delivered to address".



Additionally, the indictment revealed that the fuel for vehicles rented by the municipalities was also supplied by gas stations established by the gang.
