It was claimed that 75-year-old Ayşe Soylu, who underwent surgery at Aksaray Training and Research Hospital, lost her life due to a blood transfusion error. Soylu's son, Ahmet İlmekli, stated, "We will file a criminal complaint." The Aksaray Provincial Health Directorate has initiated a judicial and administrative investigation.

Ahmet İlmekli, the son of Ayşe Soylu, a mother of 7 children, spoke about his mother's death. İlmekli stated that his mother was taken for hip surgery at the hospital on Monday, September 8, and that they were informed late after the surgery that wrong blood had been given during the operation. He said, "It was said that wrong blood was given while my mother was conscious. We spoke with the chief physician, doctors, and the prosecutor. We will file a complaint; an autopsy has been performed. It has been sent to Ankara. We will look into it after the autopsy report comes; we trust in justice."
CRIMINAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE INVESTIGATION INITIATED
Dr. Abdullah Güleç, the Provincial Health Director of Aksaray, stated that the incident is tragic and distressing, announcing that both a criminal and an administrative investigation has been initiated. Dr. Güleç reported that the anesthesia technician, who is alleged to have been negligent, has been removed from duty, and other personnel responsible have also been relieved of their duties.
