A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle, and one of the vehicles involved in the accident turned out to be a colleague's.

In a traffic accident that occurred in Antalya, a pedestrian was hit by a driver, and then different vehicles hit the pedestrian and fled the scene. It was learned that the driver of the first vehicle that hit the pedestrian and was taken into custody was a colleague from a 5-star hotel. The driver, who was referred to the courthouse, was released under judicial control, while the gendarmerie found bloody vehicle parts at the scene that were determined to belong to different vehicles. The accident took place in the Çenger neighborhood of Manavgat district in Antalya. According to the information obtained, teams that arrived at the scene upon receiving a report that the pedestrian had tragically lost his life on the D-400 highway determined that Mücahit Muhammet Uslu had died. The teams found that many vehicles had passed over the deceased pedestrian and that he had been dragged approximately 90 meters before tragically losing his life. The driver of the vehicle with license plate 07 BCL 754, which first hit Mücahit Muhammet Uslu and was found at the accident scene, was taken into custody.

IT TURNED OUT TO BE A COLLEAGUE

Mücahit Muhammet Uslu, who lost his life in the accident, and driver Ö.D.G. were reported to have worked at a 5-star hotel located in Okurcalar neighborhood; it was learned that Uslu worked in Technical Service, while Güzel served as the floor supervisor, and they had known each other for 4 years. After the accident, the driver Ö.D.G., who was taken into custody by the Çenger Gendarmerie Station teams, was referred to the Manavgat Courthouse after the gendarmerie procedures.

RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL

In his first statement to the gendarmerie, Ö.D.G. stated that he worked at the same hotel as Mücahit Muhammet Uslu and that they knew each other. He mentioned that on the night of the incident, while driving from Manavgat to Avsallar, Uslu had flashed his headlights at him. Ö.D.G. stated that he did not see anything due to the darkness of the road when he arrived at the scene, and after hearing the sound of the impact, when he stopped and got out of his vehicle, he saw a person standing, and that the vehicles coming from behind had hit this person and dragged him, claiming that he did not kill him. Ö.D.G. was released under judicial control by the court he was brought before.

While an investigation into the accident has been initiated, bloody vehicle parts belonging to different vehicles were seized at the accident site. The gendarmerie has started working to find the vehicles that hit and fled the scene.
