A suspect has been arrested for assaulting his neighbor and her 14-month-old baby in Yalova. Sabahattin Nazlıcan stated that a photo of him taken years ago was circulated on social media and he was identified as the perpetrator. Expressing that he has been subjected to threats, Nazlıcan said, "I am not someone who would be involved in an act of violence. My aim is to clear my name. I am the victim."
The Baca family, who moved to a house they bought a year ago in the Esenköy town of Çınarcık district in Yalova with their four children, experienced numerous disputes with the Şener E. family living in the same building due to children's noise, park issues, and illegal building structures. Most recently, on February 20, during an incident, Muhammed Baca (34) was attacked by Şener E.'s child's scooter while holding his 14-month-old daughter İkra in his arms. In the attack, the father's nose was broken, and the skull of his 14-month-old child İkra cracked. After the incident, Şener E., who was taken into custody, was arrested by the court and sent to prison. The other suspect, Servet E., who had previously been given a restraining order, was released.
PHOTO TAKEN WITH THE PERPETRATOR VICTIMIZED Sabahattin Nazlıcan (37), who stated that a photo taken with Şener E. in 2017 spread on social media and he was shown as the perpetrator, faced serious threats and insults. He made a statement regarding the issue, saying that Şener E. was his childhood friend, and he took a photo with him while they worked at the same workplace in 2017, and he had not been to Yalova since that time.

The photo I mentioned was taken with Şener during the short period I came to Yalova in 2017. We worked together for about 15 days and took a photo. This photo was later associated with the incident and shared on social media. This situation caused serious reactions. I even learned that my children were bullied at school with words like 'Did your dad beat a baby?'. My photo was used to create tags on social media, and threatening and insulting comments were made. I have not been to Yalova since 2017. I have no connection to it," he said.
"I AM AGAINST VIOLENCE, MY AIM IS TO CLEAR MY NAME" Nazlıcan, who stated that he received threats and was insulted, said, "The incident turned into ideological and racial discussions. I am not someone who would be involved in a violent incident. I am against violence. Right now, my aim is to clear my name. I have suffered due to the posts made about me on social media. I will also file a complaint against those who shared my photo on social media without my knowledge and who threatened and insulted me," he said.
