On Saturday, we will see rainfall in the eastern Marmara, Inner Aegean, the inland areas of the Western Mediterranean, the northwest of Central Anatolia, the inland areas of the Western Black Sea, the coastal areas of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, and the Eastern Mediterranean. On Monday, it will be possible to see showers and localized thunderstorms in the northern and inland areas of our country."
TEMPERATURES WILL DECREASE BY 3 TO 6 DEGREES STARTING TOMORROW
Referring to the high air temperatures in recent days, Tekin said, "In the coastal areas, temperatures have been 3 to 6 degrees, in the Southeastern and Eastern Anatolia 4 to 8 degrees, and in other areas, temperatures have been 6 to 12 degrees above seasonal norms. Starting from tomorrow, Thursday, in the western parts of our country, and on Friday in the inland and eastern parts, air temperatures will decrease by 3 to 6 degrees. We expect that especially in the inland and eastern parts of our country, temperatures will remain a few degrees above seasonal norms."
HERE ARE THE LATEST FORECASTS FOR 3 MAJOR CITIES
Speaking about the weather conditions expected for Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir in the coming days, Tekin stated: "Looking at the capital, no rainfall is expected on Thursday. It will be partly cloudy, with the highest temperature of the day reaching 37 degrees. On Friday, there may be a light shower after noon. The air temperature will be around 36 degrees. On Saturday, we expect the temperature in the capital to be 35 degrees. Especially on the night connecting Saturday to Sunday, there is a possibility of rain in the capital."
Regarding Istanbul, we will see showers and localized thunderstorms on Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, it will be mostly cloudy. There may be light showers on the Asian side. The air temperature will range between 30 and 31 degrees over the three days. Looking at Izmir, we do not expect any rainfall over the next three days. It will be partly cloudy, with the highest temperature ranging between 35 and 36 degrees over the three days. Especially in Izmir, on Friday, strong winds from the north are expected, so caution is advised.
