According to a report by Kyodo News, officials stated that the child's arm got caught in a conveyor-type chairlift that connects the parking lot and the ski slope, which did not have a guardrail.
LOST BALANCE
Police and fire crews dispatched to the scene determined that the child, who was trying to get off the chairlift, lost their balance and fell. The child, who was seriously injured in the accident, could not be saved despite all interventions.
Officials reported that the child died as a result of the accident and noted that an investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
