The incident occurred yesterday in the Sarıkaş village of the Beybulak neighborhood in the Sur district. Okay Gür, 38, who was released from prison where he was held on charges of 'trafficking or supplying drugs or stimulants,' strangled Rojda Yakışıklı, with whom he was living in a religious marriage, for an unknown reason.
BURIED IN VACANT LAND
Gür then took Yakışıklı's lifeless body to a vacant land approximately 4 kilometers away from the village and buried it. Relatives of 28-year-old Rojda Yakışıklı, who could not hear from her, reported the situation to the gendarmerie. In the investigation conducted by the teams, it was determined that Yakışıklı had been murdered.
ARRESTED
Murder suspect Okay Gür was captured and taken into custody. Yakışıklı's lifeless body was removed from the land and taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy. Okay Gür's procedures at the gendarmerie are ongoing.
