In an accident at a ski resort in Hokkaido, Japan, a 5-year-old child lost their life on a chairlift. Authorities reported that the child lost their balance and fell while trying to get off the chairlift.

According to a report by Kyodo News, officials stated that the child's arm got caught in a conveyor-type chairlift, which connects the parking lot and the ski slope, and has no guardrail.

Police and fire crews dispatched to the scene determined that the child, who was trying to get off the chairlift, lost their balance and fell. The child, who was seriously injured in the accident, could not be saved despite all efforts.
