According to information obtained in the Gölceğiz area of the Ağlı-Seydiler highway in the Ağlı district of Kastamonu, the light commercial vehicle traveling towards Ağlı overturned after the driver lost control of the steering wheel and entered the water channel by the roadside.
HEAVY TOLL! 2 DEAD, 5 INJURED
The light commercial vehicle, which was dragged out of the channel, collided with another car coming from the opposite direction. In the accident, Hatice Duygu Kuru and Gülseren Kuru, who were in the light commercial vehicle, lost their lives at the scene, while Aysel C. (43), Ramazan K. (30), Süleyman S. (65), Emre Can B. (30), and Erol C. (43) in both vehicles were seriously injured.
Upon the notification made by citizens who witnessed the accident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, a large number of fire, medical, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured, who were removed from the vehicles by the fire crews that arrived at the scene, were taken to nearby hospitals by medical teams.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
After the examinations conducted by the public prosecutor and police teams, the bodies of the deceased citizens were taken to the morgue. The police teams have initiated an investigation regarding the accident.
