According to Israeli media, Chief of Staff Zamir stated in a speech at a conference with senior commanders that the army is preparing for a range of possibilities.

Zamir, who used the expression, "We must be constantly alert and ready for a decisive victory in a multi-front war," indicated that they are in a period of "increasing war preparations."
Zamir argued that lessons must be learned from Hamas's surprise attack on October 7, 2023, stating, "We must be prepared for a series of offensive actions on all fronts of the war."
