Turkey's first unmanned combat aircraft, Bayraktar KIZILELMA, has achieved another first in the world. Developed with domestic capabilities, the Low Observable Electro-Optical Targeting System TOYGUN, which is found in the most advanced 5th generation fighter jets, has been successfully integrated into an unmanned combat aircraft for the first time in the world.

Baykar's Bayraktar KIZILELMA, developed entirely with domestic resources in a national and unique manner, has tested another critical capability that will elevate Turkey to a new league in aviation.

WILL PROVIDE A GREAT ADVANTAGE ON THE FIELD

As the development activities of the national unmanned combat aircraft progress as planned, the integration of the TOYGUN Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS), developed by ASELSAN with completely domestic capabilities, has been successfully completed. TOYGUN, ASELSAN's most advanced product in the infrared band, will provide a significant advantage to the Bayraktar KIZILELMA on the field.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE IN FLIGHT TESTS

In two separate flight tests conducted last week at the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu, the tested system exhibited superior performance. The tests successfully confirmed the stable image production at different altitude and speed regimes, long-range tracking stability on moving targets, and the high accuracy of laser targeting functions. It was observed that the system maintained uninterrupted data exchange with KIZILELMA's integrated mission computer and preserved its performance even under challenging environmental conditions. The test results also indicated that all technical criteria paving the way for the serial integration process were met.

A WORLD FIRST: EMBEDDED EOTS IN UNMANNED COMBAT AIRCRAFT

These tests mean that the "embedded EOTS" technology is being applied for the first time in the world in an unmanned combat aircraft. While platforms like the F-16 carry targeting systems as an external pod, the concealment of this system within the fuselage of the Bayraktar KIZILELMA is critically important for the aircraft's low radar signature (low visibility) capability. TOYGUN EOTS enables the Bayraktar KIZILELMA to perform advanced targeting while maintaining this strategic advantage.

ONLY FOUND IN 5TH GENERATION AIRCRAFT LIKE THE F-35

This advanced electro-optical targeting system, concealed within the fuselage, is only found in 5th generation platforms like the US-made F-35 among manned aircraft. With the successful integration of this technology into the Bayraktar KIZILELMA, Turkey has become one of three countries in the world with this critical capability.

NEW GENERATION CAPABILITIES SUPPORTED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Developed with a special engineering approach for the Bayraktar KIZILELMA, TOYGUN includes optimizations specific to the unmanned combat concept. The system has wide-spectrum scanning capabilities that contribute to 360-degree situational awareness. It can detect strategic targets and moving land/sea assets from long distances with high-resolution IR (Infrared) imaging. At the same time, it enhances the autonomous power of the Bayraktar KIZILELMA with AI-supported target tracking and automatic target classification algorithms.

CAN ATTACK WITHOUT BEING DETECTED

Thanks to this capability, the Bayraktar KIZILELMA can infiltrate enemy depths without losing its low visibility advantage. It can detect its target without being captured by radar, mark it with a laser, and destroy targets using national munitions.
