NEW DETAILS EMERGED
New details have emerged in the investigation conducted by the Homicide Bureau. It was determined that a room on the entrance floor of the hotel was treated for bedbug infestation hours before the family was poisoned. It is being considered that the substance containing 'aluminum phosphide' in the pesticide used may have reached the family's room through the ventilation in the bathroom, poisoning those inside.
THERE IS NO ANTIDOTE FOR ALUMINUM PHOSPHIDE
It has been stated that there is no antidote for the substance 'aluminum phosphide', which is especially used in the treatment of bedbugs and cockroaches. The drug, which is most commonly used in agriculture and residential areas under the name 'pesticide', is a very potent poison that can easily lead to death if excessively inhaled. It was determined that the employee of the pest control company among the suspects had no certification regarding this matter.
EXAMINATIONS CONTINUE AT THE FORENSIC MEDICINE INSTITUTE
In the examinations conducted by the Forensic Medicine Institute, it was stated that traces of 'aluminum phosphide' are being searched in the blood of the deceased mother, father, and two children, and the investigation is ongoing in multiple aspects.
THE MOMENTS THEY RETURNED TO THE HOTEL ARE ON CAMERA
Security camera footage has emerged showing the moments when the Böcek family returned to the hotel after being discharged from the hospital due to suspected poisoning. The footage shows the family arriving at the hotel by taxi and the moments they checked in.
2 PEOPLE DIED IN A SIMILAR INCIDENT IN ANKARA
In a similar incident that occurred two years ago in Ankara, 2 people died and 13 others were affected in an apartment where the same substance was found in the pesticide used.
