AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Promotion and Media Faruk Acar stated, "I want to make it clear that for 23 years, we have not intervened in anyone's lifestyle, nor have we ever allowed aggressive approaches towards our beliefs and values, and we will not allow them."
AK Party Deputy Chairman, Promotion and Media President Faruk Acar stated, "I want to express clearly that just as we have not intervened in anyone's lifestyle for 23 years, we have never allowed aggressive approaches towards our beliefs and values, nor will we."
Acar attended the iftar program organized by the Turkey Press Federation at the Ulucanlar Semi-Open Prison Culture and Art Center. Faruk Acar noted that it has been a year since he took on the role of AK Party Promotion and Media Presidency, recalling that he first met with members of the press when he assumed office and held some consultations.
STATEMENT ON "GREEN PASSPORT" BY AK PARTY'S ACAR
Acar explained that they received feedback on some issues expressed by Turkey Press Federation President Sinan Burhan and that they are making efforts to conduct these consultations with the relevant authorities to take action. He said:
"A significant progress has been made, and within a few months, I can say that we are working intensively with our Communication Presidency to ensure both the technical aspects of advertising sharing and our interest in the positive approaches and instructions of our President regarding green passports."

Acar stated that the press serves as a vital bridge that enables the nation to access accurate and reliable information and keeps the public conscience alive, saying, "In our understanding of politics, the press is one of the most important responsibility areas that keeps the social memory alive and strengthens the democratic balance, beyond being a medium that conveys news."
Acar stated that they closely follow the determined vision put forth by the Turkey Press Federation and the sensitivity in the fields of democracy and press freedom, emphasizing that in a period where disinformation is rampant, standing by the truth and strengthening accurate journalism and prudent broadcasting carries a greater responsibility than ever.
Acar thanked the press members for their efforts in this regard as the AK Party.
"OUR DOOR IS OPEN TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO SERVE THIS COUNTRY"
Acar noted that they see Ramadan as a month of mobilization where the bond of heart they established with the nation deepens, stating that this year they carried out Ramadan activities around the main theme "Our Intent is One, Our Belief is One, Our Path is One."
Stating that they came together with citizens as part of the campaign, Acar expressed that they are on the field with intensive programs under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the coordination of the Organization Presidency.
Acar mentioned that the "My New Home, My First Iftar" programs in the earthquake zone and the Youth Branch's "5 Minutes to Iftar and Suhoor" events are ongoing, and that the Women's Branch Presidency is conducting reciprocal programs and reaching out to families in need.
Acar stated that the AK Party Social Policies Presidency continues its visits to the families of martyrs and veterans with iftar programs, saying:
"As you can see, while we try to keep this spirit of unity alive, unfortunately, a group is targeting social peace by creating artificial crises through secularism. The archaic mentality we know from February 28, which is disturbed by the climate of peace and freedom of worship, shows us that it is trying to sow discord among the people while there is no discussion of secularism. I want to express clearly that just as we have not intervened in anyone's lifestyle for 23 years, we have never allowed aggressive approaches towards our beliefs and values, nor will we. Our door is open not to those who target social peace, but to everyone who wants to serve this country."

Acar emphasized that they have not allowed and will not allow Turkey to be divided along sects, beliefs, and identities, stating, "One of our most vital topics for the fortification of our internal front is, as you know, the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey."
Acar stated that they are determined to throw the issue of terrorism, which is one of the biggest obstacles in front of Turkey, into the dustbin of history, as President Erdoğan has expressed, moving forward with careful yet decisive, cautious yet solid steps. He noted:

I can share that we believe we are embarking on a good cause and, with God's permission, we will succeed. While carrying out these efforts, we have one red line: we will not allow any step that would hurt the sacred souls of our martyrs or disturb our veterans and the families of martyrs. Turkey Press Federation President Sinan Burhan stated that they are trying to provide important services on every issue that concerns the public and the media, mentioning that journalists have an expectation regarding the green passport. Representatives from newspapers and television attended the iftar program.
