Adana turnip juice has received geographical indication registration from the EU.

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu announced that Adana turnip juice is the 45th product to receive EU geographical indication registration. Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated those involved, stating, "We have a diversity of products that is granted to very few regions in the world."

The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, announced that Adana turnip juice is the 45th product to receive geographical indication registration from the European Union (EU). Hisarcıklıoğlu provided information regarding the matter in his statement.

"WE HAVE A PRODUCT DIVERSITY THAT IS RARELY FOUND IN A FEW GEOGRAPHIES"

Pointing out that Adana turnip juice is the 45th product to receive geographical indication registration from the EU, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated: "May it be beneficial for Adana and our country. I congratulate our Adana Chamber of Commerce President Yücel Bayram, the board of directors, the assembly, and everyone who contributed. We have a product diversity that is rarely found in a few geographies in the world. As TOBB and the chamber-commodity exchange community, we are making intense efforts for local and geographically indicated products. Our work continues regarding 46 geographical indications and 2 traditional product names that are in the EU process."
