Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu made a statement regarding the allegations of an affair that have come to the agenda. Işıksu said, "There is no official information communicated to me regarding my referral to the Disciplinary Board. This is an expensive organization. I have identified names of those who planned this together, and the operations they carried out. The photo in the correspondence images circulated by some individuals within the party who are opposed to me is also fabricated."
Recently, following the allegations of an extramarital affair that emerged in the context of a divorce case and were covered by the national press, Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu met with members of the press in Adapazarı to provide evaluations.
"THERE IS NO SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE FOR THE ALLEGATIONS"
Işıksu stated, "A conscious perception is being attempted to be created in the public through an ongoing threat and blackmail case. It is no coincidence that a person who took the podium at an event held on February 11 used false statements about a file that has confidentiality and a publication ban, and that these words were quickly disseminated to the media and social platforms. The allegations raised have no substantial evidence."
Işıksu added, "The public is being directed with statements that contradict the prosecutor's statements. The only thing I have done is to resort to the law in the face of threats and blackmail attempts against me. I do not accept this understanding that tries to portray me as a criminal for seeking my legal rights. The party that filed a criminal complaint the moment I faced blackmail and threats is me."
"THERE IS NO OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION"
Işıksu stated, "There is no official information that I have been referred to the Disciplinary Board. I learned about this news from the media as well. Throughout my political life, I have followed in the footsteps of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Under the leadership of our President, we have walked so far relying on the prayers of our nation. No matter which direction our leader's decision is, it is more valuable to me than anything else."
"I HAVE IDENTIFIED WHO PLANNED THIS, NAME BY NAME"
Işıksu said, "This is an expensive organization. I have identified who planned it together, which operations were carried out, name by name. The voice recordings are evident. There are witness-backed, proven blackmail videos. The TikTok messages claimed to belong to me do not reflect the truth. I do not even have a TikTok account. The photo in the message images circulated by some individuals opposing me within the party is also fabricated."
Işıksu continued, "Legal proceedings have been initiated against those who disseminate false information and documents. The final word belongs to the independent Turkish judiciary. The address for anyone with a claim is not social media, but the judiciary."
"THIS SLANDER IS DIRECTED AT MY FAMILY"
Stating that he has been in politics for many years, Işıksu said, "I have faced many threats and allegations, but this process is different. This time, the slander is directed not only at me but also at my family and those who believe in me. For days, baseless statements and organized smear campaigns have been circulated. When I share the documents I have, it will be seen step by step how this fabrication was planned."
Işıksu added, "I will not remain silent, I will not take a step back. I will reveal the truth to the end. The truth will come out sooner or later. We are here to serve this city, and we will not be deterred from our path by perception operations."
The alleged six-month "obscene" correspondence between Mayor Mutlu Işıksu and his Private Secretary Elif Saçar was brought to the agenda by Saçar's daughter, Ceyda Saçar.
TOOK THE PODIUM, WHAT SHE SAID SHOCKED EVERYONE
22-year-old law student Ceyda Saçar took the podium at a meeting attended by the Public Chief Inspector (Ombudsman) Mehmet Akarca in Sakarya and voiced the allegation. Saçar stated that Işıksu threatened her and filed a 50 million TL compensation lawsuit against her.
