Following the Israeli government's approval of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, there are significant developments in the region. Under the terms of the agreement that has come into effect, the Israeli army has begun to withdraw from Gaza. Israeli media reported that the army will pull back to the yellow line from certain areas within the Gaza Strip within 24 hours.
After Israeli and Hamas officials reached an agreement on the first phase of the Gaza Plan, which envisions a permanent peace in the Gaza Strip, U.S. President Donald Trump convened a meeting for the Israeli cabinet to officially approve the agreement. The meeting was attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, cabinet members, as well as Trump's Special Representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
In a speech at the beginning of the meeting, Netanyahu stated that they were close to achieving the goal of "bringing back the hostages," saying, "For the past two years, we have fought to achieve our war objectives. One of the most important of these objectives was to bring back all hostages, dead or alive, and we are close to achieving this goal."
GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCED THE OFFICIAL APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT
In a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office after the meeting, it was noted that the first phase of the Gaza Plan, which envisions a permanent peace in the Gaza Strip, was approved by the government, stating, "The government has just approved the agreement regarding the release of all hostages, dead or alive."
According to the agreement, it was expected that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would withdraw to designated lines within the Gaza Strip, while Hamas was expected to release all hostages within 72 hours.
ISRAEL HAS STARTED TO WITHDRAW FROM GAZA
The anticipated development occurred hours after the ceasefire came into effect. Israeli media reported that the army began to withdraw from Gaza following the implementation of the ceasefire.
THE FIRST WITHDRAWING WAS THE 7TH BRIGADE
Images circulated from the region show that the 7th Brigade withdrew from the Gaza Strip, with tanks seen passing through a gate.

Israel's Channel 12 reported, "The Israeli army will withdraw to the yellow line within the next 24 hours from specific areas in the Gaza Strip, as agreed in the plan between U.S. President Donald Trump and Hamas. The forces are expected to withdraw from Rafah and Khan Younis (south) to the east and from areas in the north of the Gaza Strip towards the Israeli border."
