3 HIDEOUTS CHANGED BEFORE THE ASSASSINATION According to a report in Sabah, the statements of the suspects involved in the assassination team have emerged. Sidar Ö, who began his statement by saying he wanted to benefit from the remorse provisions, stated that he met the other suspect Ejder P. about a week ago at a safe house sent by Alican Ç. Sidar Ö. mentioned that Alican Ç. had given him a phone line to use 10 days before the incident. When asked about the incident, Sidar Ö. stated that he changed addresses to escape from the police, having changed "3 hideouts" in Bahçelievler, Yenibosna, and Esenyurt. He also explained that he stayed in the same house with the other suspects a week before the incident. Sidar Ö. claimed that 3-4 days after moving to the last house, Alican Ç. called him saying, "We have a blood feud; we will take revenge on Caner Koçer and Furkan Yavuz." He stated that he did not want to accept it but agreed due to threats against his family. Sidar Ö. said, "Alican told me that I needed to wait at the door of the house of the person they wanted to take revenge on in Bakırköy Ataköy. Then he said he had an office in Mecidiyeköy and that I needed to wait there as well. About a week before the incident, we went to the front of his office. Alican had sent us the address of this office. We went to this office around 07:00-07:30. Alican told us that there were 2 long guns and 2 small guns in the trunk of the vehicle we got into. That day, around 13:30-14:00, when the person did not come to work and due to the frequent passing of official police vehicles, we returned to the hideout. After going home, Serkan stayed with us in the hideout for 2 days," he said.
HE NARRATED THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT STEP BY STEP Sidar Ö. stated that they set off around 06:30 on the day of the incident with a vehicle directed by Alican Ç. "I got into this vehicle with Semih A., Ejder P., M. K, and C. Ü. Alican had told us on the first day we started waiting for this person to kill him when we saw him. Around 13:30-14:00, Alican Ç. went to his office and asked us to wait there. We went to the vicinity of his office in Mecidiyeköy. However, since official teams frequently passed near the office, we started waiting in a place a bit far from the office where we would not be noticed. At around 17:00, Alican Ç. called me via FaceTime and said, 'The man is getting onto the highway. Follow him immediately.' We immediately set off in that direction. During this time, the others took the weapons from behind the seat and gave them to us according to Alican's plan," he said.
"SHOUTS OF 'REVENGE WAS TAKEN'" In the continuation of his statement, Sidar Ö. said, "We saw the vehicle on Barbaros Boulevard. At that moment, Alican Ç., with whom I was still talking, started shouting, 'Get out, get out.' The person was waiting in the right lane due to traffic. We approached him from the left lane and stopped. At that moment, Ejder P., M. K, and C. Ü. immediately got out of the vehicle, headed towards the car, and started firing. I was the last to get out of the vehicle. I fired 2 shots with a long-barreled weapon, but I don't remember where I shot due to fear. After that, we got back into the same vehicle and fled to Arnavutköy. At that time, we were still video calling Alican Ç. Alican was constantly shouting, 'Revenge was taken, revenge was taken, Caner's revenge was taken.' In Arnavutköy, Alican told us to take the vehicle to a wooded area and hide the weapons there. After Alican hung up, he sent me a location in Arnavutköy. We left the vehicle there and changed into the spare clothes we had with us," he explained.
HE DID NOT OFFER ANY MONEY IN RETURN Later, Sidar Ö. stated that he broke the phone given by Alican Ç. to avoid being caught by the police when leaving the forest, and that they were caught by the Gendarmerie 10 minutes after getting into a taxi. "During this process, Alican sent me about 50,000 TL in installments to cover our living expenses. Alican did not offer me any money in return for this incident," he said.
THE LEADING VEHICLE Sidar Ö. stated that after carrying out the act, he learned that the person killed was Serdar Öktem, and he provided information about how they were led by a vehicle while going from Bakırköy to Mecidiyeköy on the day of the incident, which was surrounded by police checkpoints on the roads and around the workplace.
THE DRIVER'S STATEMENT HAS ALSO EMERGED The driver of the vehicle used in the incident, Semih A., also stated that he wanted to benefit from the effective remorse provisions and began his police statement. Semih A. said he received a call from Alican Ç. 7 days before the incident, saying, "Do you know me? I am the head of the Daltons, Alican Ç." He said he wanted something from me. When I asked what he wanted, he said, 'You will drop off a few of my brothers somewhere.' I did not accept. Two days after this conversation, I received a photo from the same person. The photo belonged to the school my brother was attending. Based on this, I called this person and accepted his offer," he said.
THEY SEARCHED FOR HIS CAR FOR HOURS Semih A., who stated that he started staying at the safe house 5-6 days before the incident, mentioned that on the day of the incident, they waited in the car for about 1 hour without moving, saying, "After that, we started to drive around for a few hours and wait. The people in the vehicle were talking about the Skoda brand vehicle and the office. They were constantly looking at the vehicles and offices around."
The conversations were like, 'I wonder if he ever left the office, didn't he come to work today?'
"THEY ALL GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND STARTED SHOOTING" Semih A., who said one of the suspects saw the vehicle belonging to Serdar Öktem while they were moving in traffic, stated, "Memo Cengizhan and Ejder, who were sitting in the back seat, took their weapons and masks, and finally Sidar took the weapon and mask. They all put on their masks. When Memo told me to stop, I stopped the car. All the individuals in the vehicle got out." He added that the suspects who got back into the car after the attack were very happy, saying, "They called Alican Ç. and informed him, 'Our brother Caner Koçer's revenge has been taken, bro.' After that, they talked among themselves about where and how they shot."
"WE GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND STARTED SHOOTING" Ejder P., who stated that he wanted to benefit from the effective remorse provisions, explained that everything started with Alican Ç.'s phone, saying, "Semih was driving the vehicle. Sidar was in the front right seat, and I was in the back middle, but I don't remember who was on my right and left. While we were driving around, we stopped once to eat, and afterwards, Alican Ç. was constantly in contact with Sidar via messages. Later, we went to the address that Alican Ç. sent, as described by Sidar. We followed for a while, but due to the presence of police in the area, we couldn't carry out the action for a while. We executed the action on the vehicle at a point where there were no police. Alican Ç. had informed Sidar about this vehicle's details. I and Cengizhan had pistols. Sidar and Muhammet had weapons referred to as Kalashnikovs. We all quickly got out of the vehicle and started shooting at the vehicle that was indicated as the target. I shot once into the air and then aimed at the hood and shot once more. I did not target the individual. After the action, at Alican's instruction, he wanted us to move to the forest in Arnavutköy. After we arrived here, Sidar broke his phone, and I lost contact with Alican; the other individuals had already broken their phones long ago."
