A notable development occurred at Habertürk following the appointment of the TMSF as a trustee and the arrest of the Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy in a drug investigation. Fevzi Çakır, the Ankara representative of Habertürk, announced his resignation. Stating that "the facts have clearly emerged at this point," Çakır said, "I am resigning from the institution I have dedicated great effort to for 13 years."
Following the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which includes famous screen personalities, a notable development occurred at Habertürk TV after the arrest of its former General Manager Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Fevzi Çakır, the Ankara representative of Habertürk, which was appointed as a trustee by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), announced his resignation on his official social media account.
"THE TRUTHS HAVE EMERGED CLEARLY"
Fevzi Çakır announced his resignation with the following statements: "As in every professional structure, it is natural for organizational restructuring and team preferences to change after management changes. Therefore, after the transfer of the media organization I have served for many years to TMSF, I had informed them that I had no request for a new position.
As a result of the discussions we had with our new management, I continued my duties in harmony for a while longer. However, I have fought an intense and exhausting battle against an organized structure that has extensions outside our institution for about 1.5 years. At this point, the truths have emerged clearly. Nevertheless, I am saddened; because I have a character that would not even wish for such a result "even for them."
"MY FOREHEAD IS CLEAN, MY HEAD IS HELD HIGH"
Positions come and go. I am a journalist. I have not existed in this profession through positions. Throughout my life, I have had no income other than journalism. I have reached this point through my labor and sweat. Thank God, my forehead is clean, and my head is held high. Therefore, opening a new horizon and taking a break for a while will be a meaningful and correct step for me as well.

In light of all these evaluations; I am resigning from the institution I have devoted great effort to for 13 years, completely of my own free will and without any pressure or guidance, in order to relieve the new organizational structure of the management. I hope that this brand, this roof will regain its former, strong, and respected days as soon as possible.
I would like to thank all my colleagues and senior professionals who have worked shoulder to shoulder with me during this process and have built the corporate identity of the Habertürk brand on the basis of "effort and principle" over the years."
