Pope Leo XIII, the head of the Vatican State, arrived in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, following his visit to Turkey. Lebanese people in the Dahiye area, south of Beirut, gathered in the region to welcome Pope Leo XIII. The crowd carried photos of Pope Leo XIII and former Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, as well as flags of Beirut and Hezbollah.
The President of the Vatican, Pope Leo XIII, arrived in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, after his visit to Turkey.
Many people gathered along the route from the airport to the Baabda Presidential Palace to welcome the Pope. He was greeted with local music and dance.
THE VISIT WILL LAST 3 DAYS
Pope Leo XIII is scheduled to meet with President Aoun, Speaker of the Parliament Berri, Prime Minister Salam, and representatives of civil society organizations at the Baabda Presidential Palace in eastern Beirut during the day. During his 3-day visit, Pope Leo XIII will participate in religious ceremonies and meetings in and around Beirut.
Meanwhile, many people gathered along the route from the airport to the Baabda Presidential Palace to welcome the Pope.
