As a new era begins in Syria following the overthrow of the 61-year Baath regime, the leader of the administration, Ahmed Shara, is preparing for his first foreign trip.

FIRST VISIT TO TURKEY

After Assad's departure from the country, Ahmed Shara is expected to have his first visit to Turkey, having met with MIT President İbrahim Kalın and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Damascus for the first time.

EXPECTED TO BE RECEIVED BY ERDOĞAN

According to Yeni Şafak's report, Shara's trip to Turkey was supposed to take place recently according to the planned schedule. Due to a change in the program, the visit has been postponed to a near date, and it is highly likely that Shara will be received by President Erdoğan.

MAIN AGENDA: THE PRESENCE OF THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION IN SYRIA

The number one agenda item in the meeting between Shara and President Erdoğan will be the presence of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in Syria. Both Turkish and Syrian authorities have a firm determination to cleanse the region of terrorism.

During Shara's visit, it is expected that this determination will be reiterated and the latest developments in the region will be evaluated. Additionally, it has been learned that Shara will thank President Erdoğan for his support for the revolution during this meeting.
