After being released, the suspended Mayor of Esenyurt, Ahmet Özer, recounted the dialogue he had with Ekrem İmamoğlu. Özer stated, "İmamoğlu said, 'Your release is extremely important. You were the first to enter. Now your release has boosted our morale. Please send my regards to all our friends and supporters.'"
Yesterday, Ahmet Özer, the Mayor of Esenyurt who was released from custody and suspended from duty as part of the lawsuit filed against him, met with party members at the CHP Esenyurt District Presidency. Özer recounted the dialogue he had with Ekrem İmamoğlu at the time of his release.
ÖZER DESCRIBED HIS CONVERSATION WITH İMAMOĞLU
Ahmet Özer said: "We coincidentally ran into President Ekrem while I was leaving. He said he was very happy and joyful. I replied, 'I am not as happy and joyful as you, Mr. President.' I said, 'I will be leaving from here, but I am leaving half of my heart here.'
"YOUR RELEASE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT"
'That's okay,' he said, 'Your release is extremely important. Because you entered first. Now your release has given us a great morale boost. Please send my regards to all the friends and loved ones,' he said. I hope and wish that soon all elected officials in Turkey will be outside."
