FRAUD OPERATION IN 23 PROVINCES
According to the information shared by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, operations were carried out in coordination with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the General Directorate of Security's Public Order Department; operations targeting fraud networks were conducted by the Public Order Branch Directorates of the Provincial Police Departments in Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Batman, Bursa, Çanakkale, Denizli, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Manisa, Mersin, Niğde, Sinop, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, and Tokat.
TRANSACTION VOLUME OF 2 BILLION IN ACCOUNTS
It was determined that the suspects introduced themselves as public officials and committed fraud, deceiving 14 citizens with the promise of selling construction rebar through fake websites. It was found that the suspects had a transaction volume of 1 billion 815 million TL in their bank accounts.
64 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
As a result of the operations, 64 suspects were arrested, 25 of whom were detained, while judicial control measures were applied to 39 others.
