A scandalous statement has come from the parents regarding the incident where an autistic child was pushed down the stairs by the school principal at a school in the Turgutlu district of Manisa. The parents, who claim that the student disrupts the peace at the school, stated, "The student's parent has insisted that the child receive education in a regular classroom. There is no longer a safe environment in our school. Other students are transferring to different schools."
On November 5th, in the Turgutlu district of Manisa, following the release of security camera footage showing school principal Bekir G. pushing an autistic student down the stairs at Irlamaz Refik Pınar Middle School, the principal was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.
PRINCIPAL WHO PUSHED AUTISTIC STUDENT DOWN THE STAIRS ARRESTED
After his procedures at the gendarmerie, principal Bekir G. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court on charges of 'deliberate injury to a child who cannot defend themselves' and sent to prison.
PARENTS MADE A SCANDALOUS STATEMENT
Parents who gathered in front of the school made a scandalous statement. Claiming that the autistic student had harmed other students at school, the parents said, "For a long time, there have been behaviors originating from this student that disrupt the peace of education and have turned into physical attacks on other students. We have warned multiple times, but it has not been taken into account."

The statement included the following expressions: "The student in question is a mildly autistic inclusive student. That is, they are receiving education in a regular school, not a special education school. Due to the difficulties experienced, our district's national education director, guidance counselors, and school administration have repeatedly suggested that the student be placed in a special education class. However, the student's parent has insisted on the child receiving education in a normal class."
"OUR SCHOOL PRINCIPAL WAS FORCED TO INTERVENE"
There is no longer a safe environment in our school. Other students are transferring to other schools. On the day of the incident, the student in question locked the children in the basketball court and disrupted the peace of education by opening and closing the classroom doors. At this point, our school principal was forced to intervene, and in a manner we do not approve of, our student was harmed. However, to properly understand the process that occurred, it is necessary to look at previous incidents as well."
