Aircrafts are intervening in the forest fire in Muğla.

As the forest fire in the Menteşe district of Muğla enters its 20th hour, aerial vehicles are intensively intervening to bring the ongoing fire under control in the steep terrain. According to the information received, the forest fire, which started near Sarnıç neighborhood on Saturday, September 7th, around 12:50, quickly grew due to the effect of the wind. While interventions to the ongoing forest fire continue throughout the night at 2 points in the valley between Sarnıç and Akbük, and 1 point between Sarnıç and Çatak Bağyaka neighborhood, aerial interventions were intensified with the daylight.

AIRCRAFTS ARE MAKING DOZENS OF SORTIES BEFORE THE EXPECTED WIND

The fire, which has entered its 20th hour, is being intervened from the air with 6 planes and 16 helicopters. Ground teams are also stationed on the roadside due to the steep terrain of the valley. The aircrafts are frequently making sorties before the expected wind around 10:00 in the area, making efforts to cut off the flames.
