AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's statements regarding the events of 1915 on his social media account.
Çelik stated, "Netanyahu, the head of the genocide network, has added a new political lie with his statement about the events of 1915."
"IT HAS NO VALIDITY"
Çelik said, "It is clear that every word spoken by someone who should be tried for the crime of genocide before history, law, and the conscience of humanity is a lie." He added, "Turkey manages all its agendas regarding history openly, with law and diplomacy. The statements and decisions made by our President regarding the events of 1915 have strengthened Turkey's self-confident politics. Netanyahu is someone condemned by the 'conscience of history.' The words of a criminal condemned by history and the future have no validity regarding history."
WHAT DID NETANYAHU SAY?
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated, "I recognize the events of 1915 as the 'Armenian genocide.' The Knesset made a decision in this regard. But I am also personally ready to say this."
