The address of violence this time was Konya. Elif Sivri, who was being treated in the General Surgery Intensive Care Unit of Necmettin Erbakan University Meram Medical Faculty Hospital, passed away. A relative of the patient, identified as H.A.S., who received the news of his mother's death, attacked doctors Yasin Esen and Erol Mangır. While police teams were dispatched to the hospital upon notification, the doctors survived the attack with minor injuries. Following the doctors' complaint, the assailant H.A.S. was taken into custody.

Doctor Erol Mangır, stating that the patient had been in intensive care for 35 days, said that the patient's condition had worsened and that she had been intubated. Mangır reported that detailed information was given to the family, saying, "Then, a person we later learned was her son entered the intensive care unit casually and first assaulted my colleague Yasin. I also wanted to intervene, but I was hit in the face twice and my throat was choked. What saddens us is not the harm done to ourselves, but that we needed to intervene for 45 minutes for the patient, but we were obstructed by the relative just in the 6th minute. Our patient might still be alive now. Our patient could have returned to life, but above all, he ended up threatening his own mother's life."

Stating, "We want to distribute health in a healthy way," Mangır said, "Because of the brutal and reckless behaviors of 3-5 ignorant people, both our patients' lives are in danger and our own lives are at risk. I come every day at 06:00, and when I go home in the evening, I think about what I can do for which patient; everyone needs to have the same awareness." The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
