Nedim Yamalı, who resigned from the Future Party and joined the AK Party, responded to the question, "Will Ahmet Davutoğlu join the AK Party?" by saying, "The information I have received from the AK Party side indicates that the AK Party will not meet with Ahmet Davutoğlu. The doors of the AK Party are closed to Ahmet Davutoğlu."
On May 14 elections, Nedim Yamalı entered the election from the CHP lists and became a member of parliament. Yamalı, who was elected with CHP votes, recently resigned from the Future Party and joined the ranks of the AK Party. Yamalı, who received his badge from President Erdoğan, made a striking statement in an interview he gave.
"THE DOORS ARE CLOSED TO DAVUTOĞLU"
Responding to the question of whether Ahmet Davutoğlu, who has been signaling a return to the AK Party with his recent statements, will join the AK Party, Yamalı stated, "The insider information I received from the AK Party indicates that the AK Party will not meet with Ahmet Davutoğlu. The doors of the AK Party are closed to Ahmet Davutoğlu."
HE HAD SAID "I CAME FROM AMONG THEM"
In a recent statement, Davutoğlu said, "I am not pursuing any account from the past. I extend my hand to everyone; to the opposition and to the government. Our door is open to anyone who wants to meet with us. As for the masses, I am a part of those masses, no one should take offense. I came from among them. What I am saying is this; there is a need for a major recovery movement. I am ready to support that movement. This can be a recovery within the AK Party or an alternative recovery outside the AK Party. I am open to both."
