Speaking at his party's group meeting, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli said, "There must be face-to-face contact between İmralı and the DEM group. We must absolutely not give up our views. I announce that we have taken note of the MHP enemies who nest on TV, the so-called commentators, media outlets, and their bosses one by one, and that when the time comes, we will make them pay dearly, and their apologies in the secluded places will not be accepted."
The Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting. On October 22, Bahçeli reiterated his remarks about the terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, saying, "MHP stands behind every word it says. We stand behind what we have said. There must be face-to-face contact between İmralı and the DEM group. We must absolutely not abandon our views."
