Mustafa Destici answered questions from Olgun Kızıltepe and Melis Yaşar in the Haberler.com studios. Responding to questions on the agenda, Destici also spoke about the process of a terrorism-free Turkey.
"EXPECTED RESULT WILL NOT COME OUT"
Stating that "The expected result will not come out of this process, the PKK will not lay down its arms," Destici said, "This is the essence of democracy; we may not all think the same. One may believe that terrorism will end this way, and I believe it will end this way too. Let's look at the point we have reached today. Has the PKK laid down its arms? No. Has it disbanded? No. I see this; I ask my fellow citizens in Mardin, do you feel that the PKK has laid down its arms? They say they do not think differently than yesterday at all."
Expressing his satisfaction with the uninterrupted fight against terrorism during the process, Destici stated, "I am pleased about this. During the previous resolution process, our security institution was not intervening with terrorists upon the recommendation of the government at that time. Today, the fight against terrorism continues at full speed, there is no relaxation. I want to express my satisfaction with this."
"REPRESENTATIVE OF DEM REVEALED THE MEETING"
Speaking about the visit to İmralı, Destici said, "It has started to come to light. We said that we do not find the İmralı process correct. There is no such example in the world. In the processes of negotiating with terrorist organizations, the Parliament has not met, and no member of parliament has met. The state meets, the prosecutor, the police, the soldier meets, interrogates. This meeting was held in confidentiality, but the representative of DEM there revealed this meeting."
"WE MAY FACE A GREATER DISASTER"
Destici also made the following statements: "Bese Hozat made a statement, saying we did not commit a crime, so why should we ask for amnesty? What did those who killed our soldiers and teachers do that was not a crime? They have revealed their intentions. The intention is clear. Pretending to lay down arms, gaining time and legitimacy. The PKK should not even be mentioned to be removed from the terrorist list without laying down arms with all its elements. In my meetings, the West is expecting this. Our people say that there is no such thing. If it is removed from the terrorist list tomorrow, we will face a greater disaster.
They are managing one-third of the country with the support of the USA in Syria. This must absolutely not be allowed. The integration process in Syria is also unacceptable when looking at the demands."
