TREES WERE UPROOTED, VEHICLES WERE DAMAGED
Due to the strong wind affecting the city, some trees were uprooted in various districts, and vehicles were damaged. It was observed that tree branches were broken due to the southwesterly wind, and in some areas, garbage containers were overturned.
WAVES EXCEEDED THE BREAKWATERS
In Avcılar, the waves formed in the sea due to the effect of the southwesterly wind exceeded the breakwaters. Those who came to the beach recorded the images created by the waves with their mobile phone cameras, while some had difficulty walking due to the strong wind.
2 BOATS SANK
The southwesterly wind also showed its effect in Beylikdüzü. The giant waves formed at Gürpınar Beach caused the boats on the shore to take on water. One boat completely sank while another boat that took on water sank halfway.
