As part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, former Galatasaray President Burak Elmas and player Didem Soydan were detained and after undergoing a health check, were referred to the Narcotics Division.
Burak Elmas, the former president of Galatasaray, and actress Didem Soydan, who were detained by the Narcotics Department teams as part of the latest wave of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were brought to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Hospital for a health check.
After the health check, the detained individuals were taken to the Istanbul Narcotic Crimes Investigation Branch for processing.
CHARGES ARE SERIOUS
It was stated that the investigation includes serious charges such as drug trafficking, facilitating use, possession, and promoting prostitution.
FAMOUS NAMES ARE ALSO ON THE LIST
It was reported that former model Güzide Duran, model Didem Soydan, and businessmen Hakan Sabancı and Kerim Sabancı were also detained as part of the operation. It was learned that actress Hande Erçel, who has an arrest warrant against her, is currently abroad.

OPERATIONS STARTED IN OCTOBER
Since October 8, 2025, many operations have been carried out in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting celebrities. Many well-known names in the public eye, including musicians, managers, and businessmen, provided blood and hair samples for drug testing. A total of 26 people have been arrested in the investigation.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
In the drug operation targeting celebrities, the detained individuals are first subjected to a health check at the hospital. These individuals are then taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for drug testing. Afterward, the celebrities are taken to the courthouse to give statements to the prosecutor. The prosecutor's request regarding the detainees is made at this stage. Depending on the request, the famous individuals are either released or referred to court.
