With the "A Meal from the Heart" project implemented under the coordination of the Istanbul Governorship, 100,000 students will receive a monthly canteen support of 2,000 TL. In the project announced by Governor Davut Gül, priority will be given to the children of martyrs and veterans, as well as disadvantaged groups, and the payments can only be used to meet food needs in school canteens.
The conditions have become clear in the "A Meal from the Heart" project that the Istanbul Governorship has been working on for a while. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül shared the details of the project on his social media account.
In his post, Governor Gül stated that they have implemented the "A Meal from the Heart" project as the Istanbul Children Foundation, under the coordination of the governorship and with the support of philanthropists.
PRECONDITION SYDV REGISTRATION
Gül conveyed that they aim to provide canteen card support to a total of 100,000 students, noting that being registered with the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation (SYDV) and meeting the specified conditions are prerequisites to benefit from the project.
PRIORITY ORDER DETERMINED
Gül explained the groups of students who will receive support in the first phase, taking into account needs and priority situations: "Children of martyrs and veterans, orphaned and fatherless children, disabled children, children benefiting from Social and Economic Support (SED) services, children staying with foster families, Roma children, children whose fathers are in penal institutions, children from families with separated parents, students studying in vocational high schools."
MONTHLY 2 THOUSAND LIRA CANTEEN SUPPORT
Governor Gül stated, "A monthly loading of 2,000 lira will be made to the canteen cards, and this amount will only be used to meet the food needs in school canteens. We thank all our philanthropists who contribute to this meaningful project and hope to reach more children with your support."
