Amedspor player Çekdar Orhan was referred to the PFDK for ideological propaganda due to the "hair braiding" gesture he made during his celebration after scoring a goal in the Amedspor - Adana Demirspor match played this week. He was also referred to the PFDK for making ideological propaganda at Amedspor.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced the disciplinary referrals for the Amedspor-Adanademirspor match played in the 23rd week of the Trendyol 1st League.
'HAIR BRAIDING' CELEBRATION REFERRED TO PFDK
Amedspor's experienced player Çekdar Orhan was referred to the PFDK for making a 'hair braiding' gesture during his celebration after scoring a goal in the Adana Demirspor match, on the grounds of ideological propaganda. In the statement, it was said, 'It has been decided to refer Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club's player Çekdar Orhan to the PFDK with a precautionary measure starting from 03.02.2026 due to "ideological propaganda" in the same match, in accordance with Article 42 of the Football Disciplinary Regulation.'
ANOTHER PENALTY FOR AMEDSPOR FOR THE SAME REASON
On the other hand, the TFF, which imposed a fine of 802 thousand lira on Amedspor last week for "ideological propaganda," referred Amedspor to the PFDK once again for the same reason. In the statement on the TFF's website, it was stated, "It has been decided to refer Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club to the PFDK in accordance with Article 42 of the Football Disciplinary Regulation due to 'ideological propaganda' in the AMED SPORTİF FAALİYETLER-ADANA DEMİRSPOR A.Ş Trendyol 1st League match played on 01.02.2026."
