A bag found on the road in Bağcılar, containing approximately 1 million 300 thousand lira worth of gold, was returned to its owner thanks to the honesty of two children. The children, who have been in the spotlight for their exemplary behavior, were visited at their homes by the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır. Minister Kacır gifted the children a laptop and a jacket.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, together with Bağcılar Mayor Yasin Yıldız, visited two children who found a bag filled with gold worth approximately 1 million 300 thousand lira on the street in Bağcılar, Istanbul, at their homes.

THEIR HONESTY MADE HEADLINES IN TURKEY

While walking in Kemalpaşa Neighborhood, Samir Hasanova (13) and Selim Bayhan (12) found a bag full of gold and displayed exemplary behavior by taking the bag and handing it over to a local shopkeeper. Those moments quickly became a trending topic on social media, and the children's honesty was praised.

Sharing footage of the visit on his social media account, Minister Kacır congratulated the children and their families, stating:

"We saw you on the internet. Unfortunately, there are always negative news. It made me very happy to hear about such a beautiful thing happening. We are very pleased to have such bright young people. We are proud of you. May you continue on the right path throughout your life, inshallah."

THE GOLD WAS FOUND THANKS TO A BUSINESS CARD

It was learned that the shopkeeper identified the jeweler from whom the gold was taken thanks to a business card found inside the bag, and then the shopkeeper and the two children went to the jeweler together to return the gold to its owner.

VALUED AT 1 MILLION 300 THOUSAND LIRA

It was stated that the gold inside the bag is worth approximately 1 million 300 thousand lira, and the owner of the gold rewarded the children for their exemplary behavior.

LAPTOPS WERE GIVEN

At the end of the visit, Minister Kacır presented laptops and TEKNOFEST jackets to Samir Hasanova and Selim Bayhan.
