The budget marathon, which lasted 154 hours over 13 sessions in the General Assembly, has come to an end. In the final session, handshakes between leaders and notable dialogues stood out, while the party leaders also followed the discussions from the General Assembly.
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly convened under the chairmanship of TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş to complete discussions on the budget.
BUDGET MARATHON COMES TO AN END
Kurtulmuş opened the session and initiated the work of the General Assembly. In his speech, he reminded that the budget discussions began on December 8 with the presentation of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz. He stated that the discussions would conclude today.
154 HOURS OF WORK IN 13 SESSIONS
Sharing figures related to the budget process, Kurtulmuş stated that approximately 154 hours of work were conducted in 13 sessions and 35 meetings, during which 1206 pages of minutes were recorded.
CHAIRPERSONS IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The budget discussions were also followed by AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, and İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu.
HANDSHAKES BEFORE THE DISCUSSIONS CAUGHT ATTENTION
İYİ Party Chairman Dervişoğlu and CHP Chairman Özel went to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli before the discussions and shook hands. AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala also greeted Bahçeli, Dervişoğlu, and Bakırhan.
Özel shook hands with other party leaders and the AK Party Group after entering the General Assembly Hall. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz also greeted the party leaders and took his place in the General Assembly.
