The identity of the body found buried by a shepherd in the Acıgöl district of Nevşehir has been determined. It has been learned that the 30-year-old individual, who is of Afghan nationality, was killed in Istanbul and brought to Nevşehir. Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder.
The identity of the body found wrapped in a blanket and buried in the ground by a shepherd in Nevşehir in April, as well as the details of the murder, have emerged. Of the 5 suspects taken into custody in connection with the incident, 4 were arrested.
THE BODY WAS FOUND IN A DISMEMBERED STATE
The body found in the village of Topaç, connected to the Acıgöl district, was identified as belonging to 30-year-old S.Y.S. from Afghanistan. It was determined that part of the legs of the body found by the shepherd who was grazing sheep had been dismembered by wild animals, and that the death occurred approximately one or two months ago by gunshot.
THEY KILLED HIM IN ISTANBUL AND BURIED HIM IN NEVŞEHİR
As a result of the meticulous work of the Acıgöl District Gendarmerie Command, JASAT (Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team), Gendarmerie Intelligence Branch Directorate, and Gendarmerie Crime Scene Investigation teams, it was determined that the murder took place in Istanbul.
THEY CONFESSED TO THE MURDER
As a result of camera reviews and intelligence work, the suspects identified in the incident, foreign nationals H.A., O.T., O.T., K.T., and K.T., were taken into custody upon the instruction of the Public Prosecutor's Office. During the interrogation of the individuals, they confessed that the murder was committed on January 30 in Istanbul.
According to the suspects' statements, the foreign national, whose identity has not yet been determined, started an argument with S.Y.S. at an address in Istanbul. It was determined that S.Y.S. was a boxer and wanted to go abroad. The argument between S.Y.S. and the unidentified foreign national escalated into a fight. The individual shot and killed S.Y.S. during the argument. The body was then brought to Nevşehir by O.K. and K.T. in a truck and buried in the rural area of Topaç village in the Acıgöl district.
4 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED
Within the scope of the investigation, O.T. was released after giving a statement to the prosecutor, while O.T., K.T., K.T., and foreign national H.A. were arrested by the court they were brought to and sent to prison. Gendarmerie teams are continuing their efforts to capture the foreign national believed to be involved in the murder.
