"INTERNATIONAL LAW IS BEING VIOLATED"
Chinese officials emphasized that Israel's attacks clearly violate international law, stating that this is incompatible with UN membership. The statement expressed that the international community must take action in the face of the humanitarian tragedy occurring in Gaza.
HAS VETO POWER
China is one of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and has veto power. This position strengthens Beijing's voice in international crises. The call for the termination of Israel's UN membership is therefore considered noteworthy.
CHINA'S MIDDLE EAST POLICY
