In a construction site in the Atakent neighborhood of the central Yüreğir district in Adana, an accident occurred when iron pieces were being lifted by a tower crane, and the rope of the carrying basket broke. The basket fell on construction workers Tahir Çeri and Erdal Sağır.
RELATIVES OF THE WORKERS FAINTED
Upon the other workers reporting the situation, health teams dispatched to the area determined that Çeri and Sağır had lost their lives. The relatives of the workers fainted upon seeing the bodies.
CRANE OPERATOR FLED
The tower crane operator, who fled the scene, went to the police station and surrendered. The bodies of the workers were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy. The police have launched an investigation into the work accident.
