ALİ YÜCE OFFICIALLY RESIGNED

Galatasaray Board Member Ali Yüce announced his resignation on his social media account.

Ali Yüce's statement is as follows;

"Dear Galatasaray fans, as a member of the Galatasaray community, I have always considered serving Galatasaray as a duty and I have never had any expectations for a position. On May 25, 2024, I accepted the invitation of our President Mr. Dursun Özbek to join the board of directors. Since the day we were elected, I have tried to fulfill all the responsibilities that fall on me in line with Galatasaray's interests. During my tenure, I have carefully followed the agenda and expectations of our community and tried to express them in board meetings. However, due to serious differences of opinion in the management approach and decision-making processes, I have come to a crossroads. The manner and timing of the statement shared from our official account just hours before our Champions League play-off rematch, which would bring great prestige and financial gain to our club, compelled me to make a decision. As of today, I have resigned from my position as a member of the Galatasaray Sports Club Board of Directors. As a fan, I will continue to support our club in every branch and be by our club's side whenever needed. Galatasaray is not just a sports club for me; it is the name of an affiliation that I will carry with honor throughout my life. Regards, Ali Yüce"

THE STATEMENT MENTIONED BY YÜCE

Galatasaray made a remarkable statement before the UEFA Champions League play-off round rematch match against Swiss team Young Boys played at their home stadium last night. The statement responded to recent allegations regarding board members.

The statement included the following expressions;

"From the moment we were elected with the trust of Galatasaray Sports Club members, we had only one goal: to fulfill this duty entrusted to us in the best way possible.

At this point, we see that the criticisms directed at our board of directors and our colleagues we work with have crossed the line and turned into unjust accusations and immoral slanders.

Starting with the lie of an investigation, followed by the slander that some of our board members were called to testify with this accusation, we invite the owners of these speculations to prove their claims as soon as possible; and if they cannot prove them, we declare that we will fight against them just like we fight against Galatasaray's enemies.

We will share all the actions we have taken and will take on this matter with the public tomorrow.

Before that, we will play one of the most important matches of this season and we will win!

Until then, FOCUS!"

HE HAD SAID "I CANNOT BE AT THE SAME TABLE WITH PEOPLE WHO DO NOT THINK ABOUT GALATASARAY"

Meanwhile, Ali Yüce, in his statement before the meeting, said, "Before Galatasaray's important match worth 30-40 million euros, I and a few executives conveyed to the management that we did not find it appropriate for the announcement to be published. However, the announcement was published. Actually, I was going to resign last night, but I didn't want to overshadow the match. I submitted my resignation in writing today. I will also express my resignation verbally by attending the meeting at the stadium. I cannot be at the same table with people who do not think about Galatasaray!"
