BANNING BANNERS BY UEFA
Before the match to be played at the New 19 Mayıs Stadium, a highly discussed decision came from UEFA. The banners prepared by Samsunspor fans featuring the eyes of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the banner of Fatih Sultan Mehmet were rejected by UEFA officials. In a statement made by the Samsunspor management, it was noted that there was no intervention from the club regarding the banners to be hung at the 19 Mayıs Stadium, and it was stated that "even a glass to be placed in the stadium during UEFA events is subject to UEFA's permission."

With this decision, Samsunspor fans expressed their reactions on social media. In a post from the fan group, it was stated, "The banner we prepared for the match we will play tomorrow was not accepted by the authorities because it contained this visual. We had to remove this visual. We are preparing a beautiful banner for tomorrow. See you at our temple, 19 Mayıs Stadium."
